Introducing Mobile Dentistry for Seniors. We Come to You!
Imagine an elderly person, homebound, possibly with dementia, making her hesitant, fearful, confused and at times uncooperative. Imagine she has a painful, abscessed tooth in need of extraction, a fit issue with her dentures affecting her ability to eat and drink or a sharp broken tooth that is rough and causing discomfort.
It’s a sad situation. And worse, it’s not uncommon. So how does this woman’s family or caregiver find dental care for her, especially if she is unable or unwilling to be transported to a dental office?
If you’re a caregiver for an elderly person – maybe even your mom or dad – you may have found yourself in this exact scenario or something similar. You know very well what a demanding role caregiver can be. While it’s an honor and a privilege to care for your aging parents in their golden years, it’s not always easy. While you’re busy attending to their basic needs and coordinating their medical care, it’s easy to let things like dental care fall to the wayside.
OnSite Dental DFW exists to make at least one aspect of caregiving easier – dental care. OnSite Dental DFW founder Dr. Brandon Treviño has a big heart for the senior population and a caring, calming chairside manner to go with it.
